Classic Car Show
Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Crash Box & Classic Car Club of Devon, has been holding the Sidmouth Classic Car Show since 2012. With continued promotion, it has become bigger each year with a really diverse and interesting range of cars on display.
This year (2016), we held our fourth show and had over 300 cars on display and somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000 spectators enjoyed our event. With the support of our many sponsors, the help of Crash Box & Classic Car Club members and the assistance of The Sidmouth Cricket Club we had our best event yet. Raising money for good causes within the town.
Thankyou to the following for their assistance with te show:
The Crashbox and Classic Car Club of Devon, Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce, Sidmouth Cricket, Tennicand Croquet Club, Exeter Sea Cadets, Devon Freewheelers, Barry Row and Safeguard GB.
The show is open to vehicles registered before 2001. We will not be holding a show in 2017. Our next show will be on Saturday 15 September 2018 when our small hard working team will do it all again!
Next time we are going to encourage the entrants to dress to match the era of their vehicle with a prize for the best ensemble. We hope this will engender a garden party feel to the event.
Please contact us if you would like more information.
The Cricket Pavilion is a lovely place for a cream tea or a local ale, and will be open all day. There will be a jazz band and a variety of entertainment. And there is always the opportunity to stroll into the nearby town centre, where our individual shops and welcoming bars and cafes will complete your day. There is not much to beat Sidmouth on a summer's afternoon, so do bring friends along, to what is sure to be a well-supported and enjoyable event.
Whether you are a car enthusiast, a motorcycle enthusiast or simply interested in a great family day out in the lovely Regency Town of Sidmouth, you will receive a warm welcome.
Entry forms will be available from April 2018.
